Jennifer H. Erickson, soprano, is a dynamic singing actress who possesses a golden yet brilliant voice.

Some of Dr. Erickson’s favorite roles include the title character in Massenet’s Cendrillon and Madame Lidoine, the second prioress in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. Comfortable in many operatic genres, she has also taken the stage as Dinah (Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti), Ottavia (Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea), Mozart heriones Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Mrs. Gleaton (Floyd’s Susannah). She has performed at the Moab Music Festival as Rebecca in an excerpt from Gerald Elias’ William Grandstaff, a Bridesmaid in the Gilbert and Sullivan favorite Trial by Jury, as well as the Girl in the Trouble in Tahiti trio and the soprano soloist for “Dream with Me” in an all-Bernstein program.

On the other side of the proscenium, Ms. Erickson has directed and assistant directed works such as Amahl and the Night Visitors (Menotti), Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Aida (Verdi), Falstaff (Verdi), and Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck).

Jennifer recently completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Utah, where she also received her master’s in Vocal Performance. Jennifer has a passion for teaching voice, and has particularly enjoyed working at the university level for the past seven years, at the University of Utah, Weber State University, and Utah State University. Jennifer’s pride and joy are her husband and four daughters, all of whom sing.
