Joyce Mahoney - Managing Director
Manages operations of the Salt Lake Symphony. Cultivates good relations with musicians,
sponsors, and friends of the Salt Lake Symphony.
Louise Mathews - Secretary/Treasurer
Records all minutes for board meetings and symphony functions. Maintains all financial records.
Mary Anne Peterson - Librarian
Responsible for ordering, distribution, inventory, and maintenance of all purchased and rented music used by the SLS.
Responsible for writing grant proposals to public and private foundations which contribute a large portion of
funding to the SLS budget.
Coordinates media relations for the SLS and oversees the graphic design for the symphony's promotional materials.
Coordinates various fund-raising functions including the silent auction for the Vienna Ball. Assists with public
relations and the SLS mailing list.
Monitors compliance with state and federal regulations to maintain the Salt Lake Symphony's status as a non-profit
corporation. Analyze potential situations which might lead to Symphony responsibility based on contractual, personal,
or professional liability. Assists in maintaining insurance coverage to protect the assets of the SLS. Provides legal
opinions on issues as requested by the board.
Anna Baker - Personnel
Responsible for recruiting musicians through auditions. Assigns and manages musicians' performance.
Dick Fox - Member at large
Operating Officers
Responsible for orchestra setup for rehearsals and concerts, transportation of symphony equipment to concert
locations, and manages setup crew.
